I am a registered psychotheraist with the College of Psychotherapy. I have worked at Haldimand Norfolk at Haldimand Norfolk REACH for 20+ years providing support to children, youth and families. I have worked in social service sector for 30 years including with residential placements, juvenile detention sections, Childrens Aid Society, and court support programs.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m someone who finds joy in the simple things—animals, nature, home projects, family, friends, and creating a space that feels comfortable and welcoming. I’m a proud pet parent and have a soft spot for animals, including my rescue rabbit, Tator Tot, who continues to teach me lessons in patience, resilience, and unconditional connection.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me tending to my plants, spending time with my furry companion, taking on a project around the house, or enjoying time with the people I care about. I also value the importance of slowing down, resting, enjoying good food, and making time for the things that bring me joy. And, of course, chocolate is always a favourite!
I believe that being a therapist doesn’t make me any less human—or any more perfect—than anyone else. I make mistakes, have difficult days, and continue to learn and grow just like the people I have the privilege of working with. I believe there is something powerful in being able to acknowledge our imperfections, learn from our experiences, and offer ourselves compassion along the way.
Ultimately, I try to bring that same authenticity and humanity into my work with clients. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. You simply need to be willing to show up as you are.
